WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT TO EXPECT

When experiencing the mobile cold plunge and sauna, you can expect a unique and invigorating wellness experience that combines the benefits of contrasting temperatures.

Here's a description of what you can anticipate during each stage:

  1. When you get there: Please arrive in the clothes you will wear for the session. We always recommend ending with the cold. Contrast therapy is great so feel free to go back and forth between the sauna and plunge throughout the session. Our saunas will be heated prior to arrival to prepare to get sweaty!

  2. Sauna: Entering the sauna, you'll be enveloped in a dry, high-temperature environment typically ranging from 130°F to 160°F. We recommend 10-20 minutes in the sauna during the course of your session. The heat promotes sweating, opens up your pores, and helps relax your muscles. Get ready to feel relaxed. Recommended weekly usage- 57 minutes

  3. Cold Plunge: We always recommend you end with the cold plunge. The cold plunge is typically maintained at temperatures ranging from 41°F to 55°F. Most important thing is controlling your breath. We recommend practicing moderate circular breathing before getting in the water. Simply breathe through your nose and out through your mouth. Try not to have a pause on the inhale or exhale. The shock of the cold water triggers several physiological responses in your body. It helps reduce inflammation and promote recovery. It also stimulates your nervous system and releases endorphins, giving you an instant feeling of alertness and rejuvenation. Recommended weekly usage- 11 minutes

  4. Repeat: To fully benefit from the contrasting temperatures, it is common to repeat the cycle of sauna and cold plunge multiple times. This practice is known as "contrast therapy" and can be performed two or three times, depending on your preference. Each time you re-enter the sauna, you'll feel the heat seeping into your body, and as you return to the cold plunge, you'll experience the refreshing jolt once again.

  5. Post-Treatment: After completing the sauna and cold plunge sessions, it's important to take some time to rest and allow your body to normalize. You can relax on the rooftop deck while getting some vitamin D and warming up naturally. It's also essential to rehydrate and replenish your body with fluids to support recovery.
